Tickets received during a reservation

It is very important to note that RentMyRide sent out an email on 10 August 2018 that all car owners on our platform must be registered with IOX fleet services which is a free Fine management platform. You will link to RentMyRide by requesting an access token from IOX fleet http://ioxfleet.co.za a second important point is that if you did not follow the steps or ignored our original email means that RentMyRide will not be able to assist with your traffic fines

A renter is responsible for paying all tickets received during the reservation period. The renter should notify the owner if the renter receives a ticket during their rental period and should pay the full cost immediately. However if not you can complete it on the Trip checklist & we will deduct it from the renters deposit, you can also use IOX fleet to redirect the fine and even pay the fine using their payment methods

If an owner notifies RentMyRide of a ticket received during the rental period the renter will be charged immediately for the full cost of the ticket plus any related fees.

If you receive a parking ticket, speeding fine or any traffic violation during the time the car was rented out the owner of the vehicle must forward support@rentmyride.co.za the original copy of the Traffic Violation in order to redirect it to the renter if the cost of the traffic fine could not be retrieved from the renter.
